In short: Guardia Planner has no accounts and no server, and it doesn’t collect, sell or share personal data. What you enter stays on your device and, if you turn on sync, in your own iCloud, where only you can see it. The developer doesn’t receive any data.
What information the app uses
To work, Guardia Planner uses what you enter:
- Workplaces, with their name, color, shift types and pay.
- Shifts: date, start time, length, overtime, repeat, amount and whether it’s paid or unpaid.
- Your reminder settings.
This information is stored on your device (iPhone or iPad) and, only if you turn on iCloud sync, in your iCloud account as well.
What the app doesn’t do
- It doesn’t ask you to create an account or sign in.
- It has no server of its own: the developer doesn’t receive any of your data.
- It doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- It doesn’t share or sell information to third parties.
- It doesn’t process clinical or patient information. Guardia Planner is not a medical device.
That’s why it’s listed on the App Store as “Data Not Collected”.
iCloud sync (Pro)
If you have Guardia Planner Pro and turn on “iCloud sync” in Settings, your workplaces and shifts are copied to the private database of your iCloud account (Apple’s CloudKit), so they’re on all your devices. Only you can see them with your Apple Account; the developer has no access. If you turn off sync or Pro expires, your data stays on each device.
Apple Calendar (Pro)
This feature is optional. The app asks for calendar access only when you turn it on. It creates its own calendar, called “Shifts”, and only writes and updates its own events there. It doesn’t read your other calendars or events. Events don’t include amounts or alarms. If you turn it off, you can choose to delete that calendar or keep it.
Export to PDF and Excel (Pro)
Files are created on your device. Where they go (Mail, WhatsApp, Files or another app) is up to you, through the system share sheet. The app doesn’t send them anywhere on its own.
Purchases and subscriptions
Guardia Planner Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store). The app only checks whether your subscription is active. The developer doesn’t receive your payment details or your identity.
Notifications
Reminders before each shift are local notifications: they’re scheduled and created on your device, without going through any server. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → Notifications → Guardia Planner.
Backups and deletion
If you have device backups turned on (in iCloud or on your computer), the app’s data may be included in those backups, which Apple manages according to your settings.
If you delete the app, the information stored on that device is deleted. If you used iCloud sync, you can delete the data in your iCloud from iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Terms of use
Guardia Planner is governed by Apple’s standard terms of use (EULA).
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes how information is handled, I’ll update this page and the date above before releasing it.
